9 Things To Bring On a Pre Wedding Photoshoot.
What to bring for a pre wedding photoshoot?
Are you currently planning or packing for a wedding shoot? This might be helpful for you. There are many different locations and themes for Pre Wedding Photoshoots in Singapore. This is a general list of items that will apply. Having shot multiple pre wedding photos in different locations as a wedding photographer - from indoors to outdoors, I have complied a list from previous couples who had engaged me and I hope you will find it useful.
In order to have the best experience for your pre wedding shoot, I have prepared a list of things you will need to bring. You can place them in a small bag or a trolley bag for easier transport.
Checklist
Engangement Ring
Bouquet
Veil (Optional)
Water bottle
Electronic fan/umbrella
Change of heels
Insect repellent
Hair wax
Tissues or small towel
1. Engagement Ring
It might be the most obvious but it is a must bring. The engagement ring is the most important thing to bring as it is essential for completing the beautiful wedding gown you have chosen. Please do not forget your engagement ring!
2. Bouquet
Having a flower bouquet will not only be a useful prop for brides but also practical. You will have something to hold on to while taking the couple photos as it will make your hands look less awkward. For the grooms, they will just have to put their hands in their pockets to keep the hands from looking awkward. But for brides, there are usually no pockets in the wedding dress. So, holding a bouquet of flowers will look natural and less awkward.
3. Veil (optional)
Not every bride will want to wear a veil with the wedding dress and not all wedding dresses come with a wedding veil. However, I feel that having a veil will make a very nice prop for the photos. These are some examples of photos with the bride wearing a wedding veil. And the good thing about it is that you don’t need to wear it the entire time. Just for some specific shots will be fine. Bring along the veil with a few bobby pins to secure it down and we are good to go.
4. Water bottle
Bringing a water bottle is quite essential for a pre wedding photoshoot in Singapore, especially if you are doing it outdoors. You will be posing for wedding photos in the daytime for 2 hours or longer, it is more tiring than you would expect. Water breaks in between will definitely be able to quench your thirst as you might not be near any vending machines or convenience stores during the photoshoot.
5. Electronic Fan/Umbrella
During water breaks or walking to different locations, an electric fan and umbrella will protect you from the sun as well as keep you cool in the shade.
6. Change of heels
If you will be wearing brand new heels for the wedding photoshoot, it might get slightly uncomfortable walking for a few hours in them since it has not been broken into. During the photoshoot, you will be walking to different locations with different backgrounds so there will be a lot of walking. Bringing a comfortable pair of shoes to slip on will really make a difference. If you don’t want to bring too many things, please remember to protect your toes and heel.
7. Insect repellent
For outdoor shoots in the evening, it may be prime time for mosquitoes to be swarming. It will be good to bring an insect repellent to protect against them.
8. Hair Wax
During our photoshoot, we will be moving around different wedding shoot locations and doing different poses. That will eventually mess up your hair. By bringing along some hair wax, you will be able to keep your hair neat and tidy in case that happens.
9. Tissues or a small sweat towel
It will definitely be quite warm during the photoshoot. And for grooms who are wearing multiple layers, they will be perspiring quite badly and it will be shown in the photos. Bringing tissues or a small towel will be the solution for that. Even if the sun is blaring down, a clean and dry face will make the photos turn out really great.
